No Earth Hour

It is quite disappointing to have found out first thing this morning that Bangkok has withdrawn itself from participating in this year's Earth Hour. The reason cited was mainly because of the impending political unrest expected this weekend. Article can be found here.

It HAS to be Thailand to be doing such things, right?!  I can't believe that even an hour is too much to ask for, in lieu of showing some respect for the ailing environment. What a shame, really.

Withdrawal or not, I still intend to to go ahead with it myself. Afterall, we do try to conserve as much energy at home when we can already; using tea lights in the evening for several hours and a few times a week.

It is also an an excuse to use  this pretty little thing we bought a while ago while at it!

And you know what? It is all in the name of the environment! Why wait for only Earth Hour?
