Diminishing Freedom of Choice

How is it that it is other people's business of what we do or don't do in our very own apartment? The mighty US of A and their absurd, ludicrous law to the max of banning smoking in your own apartment. Apparently, it applies to you  if you are sharing a floor, sharing a ceiling and sharing a wall. I seriously think it's pushing it a little bit.

I have to roll my eyeballs to the back of my eye-sockets after reading the bit in Dallas where they argued on whose right it is based on who moved to the apartment first - the smoker or the non-smoker, and the fact that the non-smoker renewed her contract. Seriously. What tragedy to dwell on such inane things. People do need to get a life rather than worry what their neighbours do. If they want to smoke themselves to death, just let it be. We all die someday!
