is knowing that today marked my last day in the office for 2009 and not having to go to work for the next 6 days!

While it is unfortunate that we had to cancel our plans of going out of Bangkok for New Year's due to the lack of the availability of accomodation to the nearby islands, as well as the exhorbitant "high-season" prices we have to pay when they are available, staying in Bangkok does not seem like a bad option after all.

I'm only hoping that Bangkok will be quieter in the next few days with lesser traffic on the road as the Thais generally travel back to their home-town in upcountry. Traffic has been nothing but a nightmare of late, so a quieter Bangkok would be a welcome sight indeed!
